Maul 'em all in 2013

Howdy everyone!
So, 2012 ended with a bang and we couldn't be happier for everything we've accomplished in the past year. There were so many memories made and our community grew bigger and stronger than we could've ever imagined. Thanks to all who have participated and taken the the time to be a part of our lives! We truly appreciate all of the relationships that have developed, and are looking forward to making many more far and wide across the world.

For 2013, we have a new line of products coming up that we're insanely stoked about. A few of these include iPad sleeves, a new backpack design, and our own version of shine mugs! Keep checking in on our webstore for updates and new products.

It's been all so great so far. So here's to all of the crazy times, obstacles, miracles and products still to come! Get ready 2013, we're on our way.

Back to the “City Beneath the Sea”

- New Orleans along the Trail towards the Nomad Pilgrimage -

One thing I have learned while traveling is to have a place to stay in every county that you venture through. For my family and I, Wayfarers Church is one of our most cherished hostels. Not just because of the hospitality we receive but the everlasting relationship we have built with Marc and Nikki.

On this trip we took in early October on our way to the 3rd Annual Nomads Pilgrimage, we had the honor of staying a few days down in New Orleans and had some close family time with our beloved Mayeux Family.

Feast of the Artisans - Farmers Market

The Woodlands, Texas.
Home of 9 Starbucks, 3 Wal-mart Super Centers, and before I forget, one of the largest shopping malls in America.(Ranked #54)
About a month ago I found out that Woodlands was not just populated by Money Hungry Yuppies looking to steal your soul.
The Woodlands is also home to some fantastic Artisans that do hold on to traditional values of working for what you need, and using your hands as medium to sustainability.

coordinated by Lorraine Richardson.

Located
The Woodlands Mall
In the alcove between Barnes & Noble and Anthropologie

1201 Lake Woodlands Dr

Today was my first day to set up a booth and I must say, I was floored to know that such things existed in this town, that I thought was a universe a part of any kind of consideration for community and craftsmanship.
Please keep in mind I am not by all means bashing this area.

Here is some photos I captured today of the Market. Under the picture will be a link to the vendors website.

The Briary: Cigar and Pipe Shop in Birmingham, Alabama

The Briary Pipe and Tobacco Shop was established in 1974 and in March 2000 they relocated their location from a small shop in the mall and bought and refurbished a beautiful old 1899 farm house.

                The Briary is located
at 609 Oak Grove Road, Homewood, Al 35209

My first experience with the Briary was when I was "squatting" in the parking lot of Shades Valley Church in the early year of 2010. The briary was located right across the street and was a easy morning walk to pick up some of the finest tobacco, one has to offer.
As I walked in I was greeted with friendly smiles and the amazing aroma that filled the walls of this old farm house.

Over the years I have been to many Tobacco shops across the country.
Most of them I have walked into and I don't even get greeted. Most likely because of my appearance, which I can understand. It is hard to believe some long haired, big bearded man is looking for a pipe for the right kind of smoking. Ha!
But I have never been treated so well and have found this kind of quality anywhere else but the briary.

"We have a extra large humidor filled with a wide choice of tobacco and cigars. A room to showcase our large assortment of pipes from American, Italian, Danish and even French and everything in between, we also have tinned and loose tobaccos. We have a separate room for our gifts, lighters, humidors and accessories. We also have a kitchen stocked with sodas and coffee. And best of all we have a great smoking room with a palm leaf fan where you can relax on the leather chair or sofas and have in-depth conversations with your friends." - The Briary Website
